Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Review

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Review

Well what do I say other than….AMAZING!!!!

Hmm so hard rock, cyborgs, samurai swords and ninjas???!!!!  Hell yes!
I haven’t played a Metal Gear game since the very first on the good old Playstation 1, but  boy am I glad I came back to it here.

The game is shorter than you might expect but it doesn’t really feel it as you move your way through content, the customisations are excellent and the combat flows superbly.  You’ve never lived until you’ve spun in the air and ripped out the spine of a rival cyborg have you?!  All joking aside though, this game is fun and has serious replay value.  Not only that but some of the bosses are HARD like really hard, even on normal difficulty but you know what?  I like that, it’s good to have a challenge as it leads to a real sense of accomplishment when your ninja sword takes that final finishing slice.

For those in the market for a good hack and slash title (with badass cyborgs) then look no further than Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.  Real good fun and a big thumbs up from all of us here at I Am Geek!

Score: 9.5 / 10
